Your full money rank — How do you really compare in Australia?
Estimate your percentile across seven metrics: income, household income, net worth, superannuation, savings, home equity and housing-cost burden. All against people like you — by age band, sex, state and household composition. Income and super use real ATO Taxation Statistics 2023–24; wealth metrics use ABS Household Income and Wealth 2019–20 distributions — the latest detailed wealth survey published — so treat those as estimates.
Metrics
- Personal income — vs men or women in your age band and state (real ATO Table 3A)
- Household income — combined income vs couples / families
- Net worth — assets minus debts vs your demographic (real ABS 2019–20 quintile shape; less current than income data)
- Superannuation — vs the real ATO distribution by age and sex
- Savings — cash & offset balances
- Home equity — value minus mortgage
- Housing-cost burden — rent or mortgage as a share of income
Methodology
Income, net worth and superannuation use real published distributions by age (full percentile curves, not approximations). Savings, home equity and household income use ABS means converted to approximate medians. Household composition and a few cross-tabs use small modelled adjustments. Housing-cost burden remains modelled. Indicative only — not financial advice.
